Plaetos has been modelled on commenting platforms that many participants will be familiar with. The key differences are:
- Plaetos is facilitated rather than just moderated, meaning that there's someone (the Facilitator) in the discussion helping everyone to get the most out of it
- We're designed for deliberation, so comments can be long
- Most discussions are asynchronous and run over a few days
- We can provide strongly anonymous forums when needed to provide a very safe place for people to discuss important, challenging and often very emotional issues.
Once you've set up your forum and uploaded emails for invitations, your participants will be invited to the forum and sent to the app to create their accounts. They'll need to validate their email address then accept our House Rules, which are basic commitments to behave respectfully towards others.
In some licenses, participants will need to answer a short demographic survey as part of the registration process.
Then they're in.
We know from feedback that this onboarding only takes about 1 minute.
Once in the forum, we'll take your participants through an in-app tour. They'll also get to connect with other people in the forum, talking to each other about the topics and sub-topics they are interested in. They can sift through the comments using the AI-generated topics, see their own comments on their dashboards and talk to you in Private Messages if they want.
But most of all, they get to have a voice to change the BIG issues that you've sought their feedback on. That's what will keep them coming back in to talk.
